The Elementary Principal serves as the instructional and operational leader of Grant Park Elementary School and works collaboratively with the Superintendent, administrative team, faculty, staff, families, and community to promote a safe, welcoming, and high-performing learning environment.

The principal will be expected to:

Provide strong instructional leadership focused on student growth, achievement, and high-quality teaching and learning. Build meaningful relationships with scholars, staff, families, and the Grant Park community. Establish a positive, inclusive, and student-centered school culture. Support, coach, and evaluate faculty and staff while promoting professional growth and collaboration. Use student achievement and other relevant data to guide instructional decisions and school improvement efforts. Maintain high expectations while recognizing and celebrating the successes of students and staff. Ensure effective implementation of curriculum, interventions, special education services, and student supports. Promote consistent, fair, and restorative approaches to student behavior and discipline. Maintain a visible presence throughout the school day and at school and community events. Collaborate as a member of the District administrative team to advance District goals and initiatives. Communicate openly, professionally, and consistently with staff, families, and the community. Oversee building operations, scheduling, transportation, safety, budgeting, and other administrative responsibilities. Model integrity, enthusiasm, compassion, and a genuine commitment to children.
